Goldman Sachs slashed its price target on United Therapeutics Corp. (NASDAQ: UTHR) from $82 to $52 after the second Phase 3 trial of an oral formulation of its
franchise drug, Remodulin, failed to meet the primary endpoint. However, the firm is maintaining a Buy rating.
Goldman said the company's base business and net cash is worth $52, which represents approximately 30% upside from current levels.
The firm cut 2013/2014/2015 EPS estimates to $4.16/$4.19/$4.25 from $4.90/$5.37/$5.87.
