Jefferies is maintaining its Buy rating and $65 price target on shares of Agilent (NYSE: A) following the release of its Q3 results.
The company released its third quarter results with earnings of $0.77 per share, $0.04 ahead of what the Street was expecting due to stronger than expected organic revenue growth and solid profit trends.
EMG revenue grew 21 percent organically as wireless manufacturing strength revealed the reality of a substantial & sustainable new product cycle benefit.
An analyst at Jefferies comments, "While VARI's core operating trajectory clearly remains dislocated, A's composite BAM organic revenue growth (+9%) remained significantly superior to that of its average peer (+7%) in the period. The unit's execution should continue to improve as VARI's core product lines are refreshed."
