ThinkEquity Sees Micron (MU), Entropic (ENTR), Mindspeed (MSPD), Cavium (CAVM) as Takeover Targets Following Google/Motorola Deal

ThinkEquity's Krishna Shankar has offered up a number of takeover candidates following the huge news from Monday morning that Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) has agreed to acquire Motorola Mobility (NYSE: MMI) in a $12.5 billion deal.

The analyst believes Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) could make a play at Micron (NYSE: MU), a move which would effectively bring DRAM and NAND in house.

Shankar also called Entropic (Nasdaq: ENTR), Mindspeed (Nasdaq: MSPD) and Cavium Networks (Nasdaq: CAVM) potential targets in the small-cap semi sector.

ThinkEquity currently rates shares of Micron, Entropic and Mindspeed Buys and Cavium shares a Hold.

Micron shares are up 3.4 percent Monday afternoon, Entropic shares are up 8.3 percent, shares of Mindspeed are up 2 percent and Cavium shares are down about 1 percent to $30.63.
