Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC) is near a deal to buy Carlyle Group's Insight Communications Co. for about $3 billion, according to various reports this morning.
A deal could be announced as soon as today. The talks are not finalized and the deal could still fall through.
This would be Time Warner's largest deal since being spun-off from Time Warner in 2009.
