News Corporation (NASDAQ: NWSA) reported Q4 EPS of $0.35, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.30. Sales came in at $8.96 billion, which compares to the Street estimate of $8.46 billion.
News Corp. declared a quarterly dividend of $0.095 per share, or $0.38 annualized. This is a 26.7% increase from the prior dividend of $0.075.
The dividend will be payable on October 19, 2011, to stockholders of record on September 14, 2011, with an ex-dividend date of September 12, 2011.
The annual yield on the dividend moves from 2.19% to 2.77%.
