Citadel Securities initiates coverage on Vertex (NASDAQ: VRTX) with a Neutral. PT $46.00.
Citadel analyst says, "The Incivek launch appears to be progressing well with initial prescription data showing both a meaningful uptake for the therapy, and growth in the HCV treatment market, in our view. However, Street consensus appears to have priced in widespread adoption of the therapy, making it difficult for Incivek sales to outperform expectations. Importantly, early prescription data reinforce our view that Incivek will be more broadly considered than Merck’s Victrelis given what we view to be a less complicated treatment regimen and numerically better data."
