Telephone & Data Systems, Inc. (NYSE: TDS) reported Q2 EPS of $0.87, $0.52 better than the analyst estimate of $0.35. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.28 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.27 billion.
Postpaid ARPU (average revenue per unit) increased to $51.84 from $50.55. Postpaid churn improved to 1.38 percent from 1.43 percent. Net loss of 58,000 retail customers, reflecting loss of 41,000 postpaid customers and 17,000 prepaid customers; postpaid customers comprised 95 percent of retail customers.
