Cavium Networks (CAVM) Shares Plunge Amid Inline Q2 Results But Concerning Q3 Outlook

Shares of Cavium Networks (NASDAQ: CAVM) have tumbled nearly 10 percent in Tuesday's after-hours session following inline Q2 results, but soft guidance on the company's conference call.
Cavium reported Q2 EPS of $0.34, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.32. Revenue for the quarter came in at $71.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $71.58 million.
On the call, a company exec said Cavium sees Q3 adj-EPS of about 33c on sales of $73-$74 million. The Street is currently looking for Q3 EPS of 33c on sales of $76.2 million.
