MetroPCS Communications (NYSE: PCS) reported Q2 EPS of $0.24, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.21 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.23 billion.
Average revenue per user (ARPU) of $40.49 for the second quarter of 2011 represents an increase of $0.65 when compared to the second quarter of 2010 and an increase of $0.07 when compared to the first quarter of 2011.
Quarterly net subscriber additions of approximately 200 thousand, resulting in an approximate 19% increase in total subscribers over the prior twelve month period.
