Missouri American Water, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Water (NYSE: AWK) as acquired Roark Water & Sewer, Inc. serving customers living in Stone and Taney counties near Branson in southwest Missouri. The system was purchased for approximately $1.6 million.
The system adds approximately 675 water customers and 635 wastewater customers to the company’s customer base.
