Snyder's-Lance (LNCE) Lowers FY11 EPS Outlook; Guides Q211 Below Street

July 22, 2011 6:52 AM EDT
Snyder's-Lance, Inc. (Nasdaq: LNCE) has lowered its fiscal 2011 EPS outlook from $0.85 - $1.00 to $0.75 - $0.90.

The Street is looking for EPS of $0.95.

Second-quarter EPS should be $0.15 - $0.17, versus the Street's $0.27.

The primary driver for the decline in guidance is lower profit margins for the Company's private brand products, resulting primarily from a lag in pricing realization compared to the cost of commodities.
