Deutsche Bank upgraded FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE) from Hold to Buy. PT increased from $45 to $49.
Deutsche analyst says, "With forward power prices starting to reflect the uplift from pending EPA rules and regulated utility values stretched, we believe it makes sense to raise weightings in the less regulated utility group. With its large, low-cost scrubbed coal and nuclear plants FE is uniquely well positioned to benefit as older uncontrolled coal units retrofit or retire. Performance has been modest since the May PJM auction upside surprise, which assures tangible 2014-15 growth even with a delayed energy recovery."
