WebMD (Nasdaq: WBMD) 30.8% LOWER; sees Q2 results inline with previously issued guidance: sales of about $141 million compared to prior guidance of "more than $140 million." EPS from continuing operations of $0.23. Cuts its FY11 sales guidance from $610-$640 million to $580-$600 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $631.4 million. Sees income from continuing operations of $71-$80 million, down from prior guidance of $79.8-$91.8 million. Sees Q3 sales of $135-$140 million, which compares to the Street estimate of $158.90 million.
Ener1, Inc. (Nasdaq: HEV) 30.5% HIGHER; Ener1 and Wanxiang Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., a division of the Chinese conglomerate Wanxiang Group Corporation, announced that they have received approval from the Chinese government for their joint venture to co-manufacture lithium-ion energy storage systems for the China market.
Bacterin International Holdings, Inc. (AMEX: BONE) 24% HIGHER; reports preliminary Q211 revs of $7.5 million. The number is a 134 percent increase from $3.2 million last year. The revenue increase is attributed to continued growth in the number of domestic hospitals and new international accounts using Bacterin products, as driven by the company's expanding direct and outside sales force.
MGIC Investment Corp. (NYSE: MTG) 19.2% LOWER; reported Q2 GAAP loss of $0.86, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter came in at $367 million versus the consensus estimate of $346.72 million.
Pharmaceutical Product Development Inc. (Nasdaq: PPDI) 17.6% HIGHER; shares are jumping higher in pre-open trading Monday on reports from the Wall Street Journal the company is exploring a potential sale. Buyers could include private equity firms or larger clinical-research providers, the Journal reported.
Entropic (NASDAQ: ENTR) 16.8% LOWER; Stifel Nicolaus downgraded the stock from Buy to Sell.
ZHONGPIN (Nasdaq: HOGS) 16% LOWER; traders are taking profits this week following a nearly 12 percent run-up late Friday. Additionally, Reuters is saying China will release some pork reserves into the open market.
Sino Clean Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: SCEI) 14.3% HIGHER; announced that it has entered into a non-binding, preliminary agreement to acquire 100% stake in Crown Energy Limited, an investment company registered in Hong Kong, which as its sole business holds a 60% stake in Foshan Nan Hai CWSF Co., Ltd. The stock surged nearly 44 percent last week.
Skywest (Nasdaq: SKYW) 14.3% LOWER; sees Q2 results lower than it previously expected. Now sees earnings about breakeven. The company also expects Q3 and Q4 results to be lower than the prior forecast.
Bank of Ireland (NYSE: IRE) 13.7% LOWER; following an initial knee jerk move higher last week following results from the Euroarea bank stress tests, traders are taking profits in these stocks this week.
