Barclays maintains an 'Overweight' on Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX), PT $315.
Barclays analyst says, "We believe Netflix's pricing change to subscription plans announced yesterday is a strategic move to further drive streaming-only plans and adoption. Under the new plans, while streaming-only access remains $7.99/month, DVD-only plans are now also $7.99/month, resulting in a new hybrid DVD+streaming plan of $15.98/month. Prior to this change, 1-out DVD+unlimited streaming was $9.99/month. These changes go into effect immediately for new subscribers and September 1 for existing subscribers."
"Netflix reports 2Q11 results on Monday, July 25th and we expect results to be strong with domestic sub growth of 64% and total sub growth of 71%. We remain optimistic on Netflix's international offerings and believe its recently announced LatAm roll-out adds ~46M broadband households to its addressable market."
