This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Wendy's/Arby's Group, Inc. (NYSE: WEN) high of $5.445. Wendy's/Arby's looks to be breaking above the $5.20 resistance level today. Volume on the move is solid, about double the trailing three-month average.

  • VirnetX Holding Corp (NYSE: VHC) high of $37.14. VirnetX started out higher this morning, and moved an additional 13.8 percent to the new high. No word on the movement today, but the stock has been stronger after getting above the $30 price level.

  • GT Solar International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOLR) high of $17.33. Got enough of a pop at the start of the session today to warrant another 52-week high. Shares closed 5.8 percent higher yesterday following news that it received $81.7 million in new orders for polysilicon production equipment.
52-Week Low:
  • Oilsands Quest Inc. (AMEX: BQI) low of $0.2801. Oilsands updates on its strategic alternatives. The company also filed its annual 10-K report with the U.S. SEC, so investors may be getting a better look at how it's FY10 shaped up in detail.

  • WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE: WMS) low of $27.50. Janney issued a rather bearish research report on WMS today. The firm believes WMS will likely lose share on replacements as it deals with product deals. Janney said Bally's (NYSE: BYI) and International Game Tech (NYSE: IGT) are both in better positions than WMS.

  • Cree Inc. (Nasdaq: CREE) low of $31.68. Cree just continues lower bit-by-bit, dropping about 3.5 percent to the new mark today. Many outlets have LED prices coming down within 2011, partially on demand and partially on cost of technology.
