InterDigital (IDCC) Jumps On Nortel Asset Sale

InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDCC) is moving sharply higher in pre-open trading today. We are hearing this is related to the successful sale of Nortel assets, which suggests the company may be undervalued.

Nortel Networks sold its 6,000 patent portfolio to a consortium made up of Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) for $4.5 billion in cash.

Shares of InterDigital are up 16 percent in early action.
