UBS maintains a 'Neutral' on Sigma Designs (NASDAQ: SIGM), slashes PT from $14 to $8.50.

UBS analyst says, "Our checks indicate Sigma’s 2nd-gen IPTV solution for AT&T’s (NYSE: T) U-verse service continues to undergo Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) set-top box certification followed by carrier/MSO network qualification. The earliest that we would expect this process to complete is in late C11. Furthermore, we believe Sigma’s segmentation of its IPTV SoCs into premium and value lines and new single-chip HPNA home connectivity ICs that have lower ASPs could temper revenue growth even as unit volumes recover."

"We lower our F2Q revenue/non-GAAP EPS estimates to $52.3m/($0.03) vs $64.1m/$0.18. Our F12/13 revenue estimates decline -16%/-120% to $228m/$251m with our EPS estimates declining to $0.12/$0.35 from $0.91/$1.17."
