Steelcase Inc. (NYSE: SCS) 5.7% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.10, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenue for the quarter came in at $639.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $589.33 million. Steelcase Inc. sees Q2 2011 EPS of $0.06-$0.10 (includes restructuring costs of about 9 cents per share), versus the consensus of $0.12. Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE: BMY) 5.7% HIGHER; and Pfizer Inc. report topline results of the Phase 3 ARISTOTLE trial of ELIQUIS. In this study of patients with atrial fibrillation and at least one additional risk factor for stroke, ELIQUIS met the primary efficacy objective of non-inferiority to warfarin on the combined outcome of stroke (ischemic, hemorrhagic or unspecified type) and systemic embolism. In addition, ELIQUIS met the key secondary endpoints of superiority on efficacy and on ISTH (International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis) major bleeding compared to warfarin.

Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.11 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.08 billion. Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. sees Q2 2011 EPS of $0.77-$0.82, versus the consensus of $0.82. Bed Bath & Beyond raises FY11 EPS to up 15-20 percent, from 10-15 percent.
American Capital Agency Corp. (Nasdaq: AGNC) 1.9% LOWER; announces a 36 million common stock offering. In connection with the offering, the Company intends to grant the underwriters an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 5,400,000 shares of common stock to cover overallotments, if any.
