Cheniere (LNG) Shares Jump as Traders Could Be Reacting to News of 20-Year Supply Deal with India's State-Run Gas Network Operator

Shares of Cheniere Energy (AMEX: LNG) are surging in afternoon trade, now up 9.6 percent to $8.88.

Reports from last night suggest the company signed a 20-year supply deal with the state-run gas network operator GAIL in India. Rumors of the contract say Cheniere will provide 1.5 billion cubic meters of regasified LNG starting in 2015.
