This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Unitedhealth Group, Inc. (NYSE: UNH) high of $51.65. Unitedhealth is making a nice move above the $50.75 resistance level today. The stock jumped 3.4 percent to the new level, though volume is not above the trailing daily average. For the most part, Unitedhealth's peers are also trading stronger today.

  • Hooper Holmes Inc. (NYSE: HH) high of $1.17. Another healthcare stock making a move today, Hooper Holmes surged over 27 percent to the new mark today. The stock started seeing some buying late last week stemming from a bullish financial blog article.

  • Ariad Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: ARIA) high of $10.19. Ariad is ripped 9.3 percent higher today after announcing results for it AP26113 investigational lung cancer drug candidate which showed the drug as a dual inhibitor of ALK and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). A positive mention over the weekend about the drug is garnering investor attention today.
52-Week Low:
  • Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) low of $26.04. Bernstein downgraded RIM from Market Perform to Underperform, halving its price target from $40 to $20.

  • ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE: SOL) low of $4.50. ReneSola is continuing lower today, a pattern that has continued from a recent high of $13.25 in mid-February. Shares have dropped 66 percent since then. The stock dropped even more following fourth-quarter earnings in early March, as ReneSola issued weak guidance.

  • Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK) low of $5.79. Nokia has been making pretty big swings for such a large company following its reduced outlook at the end of May. Shares are down 3.8 percent to the new low today. Weakness and bearishness on peer Research In Motion isn't making a case for Nokia, though the two aren't tied up in a joint venture or anything.

  • Clearwire Corporation (Nasdaq: CLWR) low of $3.35. Clearwire is down to a new low today following reports that Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) and LightSquared have reached a $20 billion network deal. Sprint currently uses Clearwire equipment for its 4G LTE needs. Clearwire is moved 6.9 percent to the new mark.
