Optical Stocks Being Sold Following Finisar (FNSR) Warning (OCLR) (JDSU) (OPLK)

Stocks in the Optical group are getting slammed after hours following Q4 results from Finisar (Nasdaq: FNSR) and guidance which came in well below Street estimates.

Finisar shares are currently halted and will begin trading again at 4:30pm ET.

The company reported earnings of $0.33 per share, in-line with the analyst estimate, on sales of $236.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $242.95 million. Finisar sees Q1 EPS of $0.17-$0.21, versus the consensus of $0.37, and revenue of $215-$230 million, versus the consensus of $253 million.

Moving around the sector:
  • Oclaro (Nasdaq: OCLR) down about 4 percent
  • JDS Uniphase (Nasdaq: JDSU) down 3.5 percent
