Needham & Company reiterates a 'Buy' on Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB), PT $51.

Needham analyst says, "As we head into the closing innings of Q2 and proxy it against the battered semiconductor group, we wanted to revisit the growth drivers of SLAB and the overall strategy to highlight that it should be a core long-term holding for growth tech oriented investors, especially at these depressed levels. While most of the investor focus is monitoring the success of the TV tuner business we continue to believe the longerterm merits of the MCU and Timing businesses (which we forecast about $100M and $90M, respectively, in 2011 revenue) coupled with their strong cash flow are a strong foundation to layer on vertical products. Furthermore, we believe recent sales channel developments are likely to result in continued upward bias to revenue as SLAB’s adolescent product line matures into an offering its distributors can sell widely."
