Family Dollar (FDO) Shares Up 2% Following Increased Stake by Ackman's Pershing Square

Shares of Family Dollar (NYSE: FDO) now up 1.4 percent in last five minutes of trading following a 13G filing on the company from Bill Ackman's Pershing Square Capital.

The fund showed an 8.9 percent stake in the company, up from a previously-disclosed stake of 4.7 percent.

Family Dollar shares are now up 2 percent from Wednesday's close; the stock last traded at $52.55.
