Syms Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMS) 27.5% HIGHER; begins process to explore/evaluate various potential strategic alternatives including a sale.

Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) 15.3% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $1.01, $0.15 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.16. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.23 billion. GAAP EPS in the quarter was $1.09. Computer Sciences Corporation sees FY2012 EPS of $4.70-$4.80, versus the consensus of $5.21. Computer Sciences Corporation sees FY2012 revenue of $16.5-$17.0 billion, versus the consensus of $16.6 billion.

Empire District Electric Company (NYSE: EDE) 14.9% LOWER; reports that it will be suspending the quarterly dividend for the remainder of 2011. This action was forced due to the impact of the devastating tornado that hit Jolin, MO, on May 22nd. The Board believes this dividend level will allow the Company to grow the dividend as the Joplin area recovers.

Sigma Designs, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGM) 14.7% LOWER; reported Q1 non-GAAP EPS of $0.07, $0.10 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $60.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $62.95 million.

Majesco Entertainment (Nasdaq: COOL) 14.1% HIGHER; shares are rebounding after falling below a resistance level around $2.50 on Tuesday. The stock was up nearly 7 percent yesterday.

Xinyuan (NYSE: XIN) 13.5% HIGHER; announced that its Board of Directors has approved a share repurchase program under which the Company may spend up to US$10 million to repurchase common shares. The company declared a 10 cent quarterly dividend.

hhgregg, Inc. (NYSE: HGG) 13% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.39, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $0.29. Revenue for the quarter came in at $507 million versus the consensus estimate of $518.16 million. Sees FY2012 EPS of $1.20-$1.35, versus the consensus of $1.29. Authorizes a $50 million buyback program.

Guess?, Inc. (NYSE: GES) 11.6% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.55, vs. the analyst estimate of $0.44. GAAP EPS were $0.46. Revenue for the quarter came in at $592.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $567.72 million. Sees Q2 2011 EPS of $0.77-$0.83, versus the consensus of $0.79. Sees Q2 2011 revenue of $645-$660 million, versus the consensus of $650.48 million. Reaffirms FY12 outlook.

Trimeris (Nasdaq: TRMS) 10.9% HIGHER; late last night announced it reached an amended agreement with Hoffman-La Roche on Fuzeon. The company said Roche will pay $4.9 million to settle claims, as well as a royalty payment of 16% of sales of products.

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARNA) 10.1% HIGHER; presents meta-analyses of the three trials in the lorcaserin Phase 3 clinical trial program at ECO 2011, the 18th European Congress on Obesity. From the release: "The analyses show that lorcaserin caused statistically significant weight loss compared to placebo at one year among 7,500 obese and overweight, diabetic and non-diabetic adults. The lorcaserin-mediated weight loss was associated with favorable changes in biomarkers that may be predictive of cardiovascular and metabolic risk and in quality of life."

Ascena Retail Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASNA) 9.9% HIGHER; reported Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $0.66, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.65. Revenue for the quarter came in at $722.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $709.6 million.

Valence Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: VLNC) 9.4% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of ($0.01), $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter came in at $13.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $15.04 million. Valence Technology, Inc. sees Q1 2011 sales of $8.5-$10.5 million, versus the consensus of $16.7 million.

Tiffany & Co. (NYSE: TIF) 9.1% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.67, ex-items, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $0.57. Revenue for the quarter came in at $761 million versus the consensus estimate of $703.32 million. Raises its FY12 EPS guidance from $3.35-$3.45 to $3.45-$3.55, versus the consensus of $3.33.

Fushi Copperweld (Nasdaq: FSIN) 9.1% HIGHER; the company's Special Subcommittee gave an update related to its "going private" proposal: said received an offer at $11.50/share and that it is considering other options.

Genesco, Inc. (NYSE: GCO) 8.5% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.67, $0.19 better than the analyst estimate of $0.48. Revenue for the quarter came in at $482 million versus the consensus estimate of $441.3 million. Genesco, Inc. sees FY2011 EPS of $2.90-$2.97, versus prior guidance of $2.78-$2.85 and the consensus of $2.84. The company assumes comparable store sales of 5% to 6% for the full fiscal year.
