Schneider Electric is looking to partner with private-equity firms to launch a bid for Tyco International (NYSE: TYC), the New York Post reported.
Another possibility is that a private-equity consortium will form and make their own bid for Tyco.
Rumors surrounding a possible Schneider/Tyco deal have been in the market since April. However on April 13, Schneider said it was not in takeover talks with Tyco.
