Southside Bancshares (SBSI) Increases Qtr. Dividend 4.6% to $0.17; Yields 3.3%

Southside Bancshares, Inc., (Nasdaq: SBSI) has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.17 per common share, $0.68 annualized. The dividend is a 4.6 percent increase from the current rate of $0.1625.

The cash dividend is payable June 9, 2011, to common stock shareholders of record May 26, 2011, with an ex-dividend date of May 24, 2011.

Yield on the dividend is 3.3 percent.
