Commodities Getting Slammed: Crude Down ~5%, RBOB Gas Down 8%, Silver Down 7%, Gold Down 1.4%

Commodities are down across the board Wednesday:
  • crude oil down almost 5 percent to under $99 per barrel
  • reformulated gasoline (RBOB) down 27 cents to around $3.11, almost 8 percent lower for the session
  • gold down 1.4 percent, or about $20, to $1,495 per oz
  • nat gas down almost 2 percent
  • silver down more than 7 percent, or more than $2.80, to around $35.60
A number of these commodities have been halted due to limit down restrictions.

Grain prices are also sharply lower:
  • corn down 4.6 percent
  • soybean down 1.4 percent
  • wheat down almost 4 percent
