Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 05/09: (SYY) (NUAN) (SQNM) High; (REVU) (PETS) (NTSP) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:

• Sysco Corp. (NYSE: SYY) high of $32.76. Sysco having quite a day today, following solid first quarter results from the Houston, TX-based food distributor. Sysco reported EPS of $0.48, ex-items, on revs of $9.8 billion, both topping the consensus. Shares moved nearly 15 percent to the new high today.
  
  
• Nuance Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: NUAN) high of $22.93. Nuance is trading higher today following rumors that it could be near a partnership/acquisition deal with Apple, Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL). Shares popped over 14 percent on the exuberance before settling down this afternoon.
  
  
• Sequenom Inc. (Nasdaq: SQNM) high of $8.25. Investors are still buying Sequenom following strong first-quarter results late last week. Shares notably moved 16 percent higher last Friday, and have tacked-on an additional 6.5 percent today, for a total two-day move of 23.5 percent.
  
  
• Rosetta Resources, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROSE) high of $50.33. Making a strong move higher today following first-quarter earnings. Reported EPS of $0.21 on revs of $97.1 million, compared with consensus EPS of $0.29 and revs of $95.62 million. Rosetta was upgraded at Tudor Pickering and CapitalOne this morning.

52-Week Low:

• The Princeton Review, Inc. (Nasdaq: REVU) low of $0.214. Princeton Review reported that it closed the "transaction to sell the assets of its Community College Partnerships business to Higher Education Partners LLC for $4 million in cash, less the value of certain current liabilities assumed by the purchaser." Shares moved nearly 31 percent lower on the news today. The stock has already been beaten up following sour first-quarter earnings report late last week, with a loss of $0.29 per share and revs of $49.7 million both missing views.
  
  
• PetMed Express Inc. (Nasdaq: PETS) low of $12.70. PetMed is lower today after reporting fourth-quarter EPS of $0.19 on revs of $50.9 million, mixed to consensus views calling for EPS of $0.23 and revs of $48.86 million. Shares moved over 13 percent lower to the new mark today.
  
  
• Netspend Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTSP) low of $8.60. Continuing lower from last Friday following first-quarter earnings from Netspend. The Company reported EPS of $0.11, shy of the consensus $0.12. Shares moved an additional 6.7 percent lower following a 14 percent close lower last Friday.
