UBS maintains a 'Buy' on WellPoint (NYSE: WLP), raises PT from $78 to $85.
UBS analyst says, "Strong Q1 results and moderating cost trends leave updated guid of “at least” $6.60 (ex gains) with the continued appearance of excessive conservatism, w/updated UBS adj est. of $6.90 ($7.00 incl gains) representing $0.30 upside vs guid (prior $6.60 UBS est also $0.30 above guid). We see room for better results below the line driving most of our differential vs. guidance, leaving meaningful room for further improvement should cost trend trajectory remain modest through-out 2011." (UBS raises FY11 EPS estimate from $6.60 to $7.00 and FY12 from $7.30 to $7.75)
