American States Water (AWR) Increases Qtr. Dividend 7.7% to $0.28; Yields 3.2%

American States Water Company (NYSE: AWR) has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.28 per common share, $1.12 annualized. The dividend is a 7.7 percent increase from the current rate of $0.26.

The dividend is payable June 1, 2011 to shareholders of record at the close of business on May 12, 2011, with an ex-dividend date of May 10, 2011.

Yield on the dividend is 3.2 percent.
