UPDATE - Barclays initiates coverage on IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS) with an Equalweight. PT $50
Barclays analyst said, "Gardner (NYSE: IT) and IHS share the following attractive investment attributes: 1) strong market positioning (brands, leading market share, mission critical data); 2) large addressable markets (technology, energy); 3) highly predictable and recurring revenue (70%+ subscription revenue, 80%+ renewal rates) 4) strong free cash flow generation (150%+ of net income at both) that results from the subscription model; 5) attractive margins and ROIC; and 6) strong management teams."
"We are bullish on the fundamental outlook for both IT and IHS and believe that they both deserve premium valuations to the market based on their robust and predictable cash flow generation. While we expect both to post healthy growth rates over the next few years, we find IT a better idea for investors today, and recommend purchase. We are bullish on the prospects for IHS too, but find the stock fully valued and would like to see a 10%+ pullback before getting more
constructive."
