Barclays on U.S. IT Hardware: IT Hardware Earnings Guide: April C1Q Solid for Most, but Guidance Key Part II
Barclays analyst said, "Many IT Hardware Companies report C1Q results soon. We expect generally solid quarters; guidance and tone around Japan and components into C2Q are key."
Western Digital (NYSE: WDC) (4/20) - Pricing Shows Some Improvement: WDC benefited from acceleration at the end of the quarter as well as improved pricing. Margins can likely see upside as a result of near-term favorable trends, continuing into the June quarter.
Xerox (NYSE: XRX) (4/21) - Expecting Equity Income Hit from Japan; Cash Flow Intact: Xerox could lower its FY11 guidance to reflect lower equity income from Fuji Xerox (~$0.04), but cash flow should be unaffected. Shares can still benefit in 2011, closer to buybacks.
Lexmark (NYSE: LMK) (4/26) - Limited Revenue Upside, But Currency Helps 2Q: We believe LXK is likely to post some EPS upside driven by margins with in-line revenues. We wouldn't be surprised if 2Q guidance were in line to lower than consensus.
3D Systems (Nasdaq: TDSC) (4/28) - Acquisitions Should Help: We believe TDSC should see help from recent acquisitions. We do not expect the company to provide formal guidance.
Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM) (4/28) - Expecting Modest Upside: We expect an in-line report vs. the Street and potential for modest upside. Stock should continue to see support in the $20-21 range (around estimated BV/TBV).
