UBS maintains a 'Buy' on AmerisourceBergen (NYSE: ABC), PT increased from $40 to $45.
UBS analyst says, "Based on positive news recently in relation to specialty generics (Taxotere/ Ferrlecit), we are raising ABC’s target to $45 to reflect greater visibility on our above-Street EPS projections for CY11/12. We’ve discussed that our above-Street $22 bil view of the generic pipeline for ‘11 was based on a series of mid-size drugs, and Ferrlecit was one of them. $1+ bil Taxotere also +ive so far."
"On another positive note, Hospira announced recently that based on discussions with whole salers, initial sales of generic $1.1 bil Taxotere are coming in better than expected due to limited competition (one AG) and thus better pricing. This gives us higher conviction in our $0.09 FY11 EPS projection for generic Taxotere for ABC."
