Ticonderoga maintains a 'Buy' on Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR), PT $50.

Ticonderoga analyst says, "This morning, Verizon (NYSE: VZ)(Not-Rated) announced plans to deploy 100G (gigabits per second) technology in the U.S., and Juniper has been chosen as the supplier of routers, while Ciena (Nasdaq: CIEN)(NR) is the partner for the 100G coherent optical transport solution. Earlier this month, Verizon announced using both Juniper and Ciena for its 100G long-haul network in Europe. In our view, today's announcement supports the early lead that Juniper is experiencing with core routers used in 100G networks and the continued momentum with next-generation networks around the world. Recall, we indicated during last week's CTIA show that our checks indicated that LightSquared would use Juniper for its new 4G LTE network, and the company has been gaining momentum with China-based carriers in recent months."
