Deutsche Bank upgraded Alumina Limited (NYSE: AWC) to Buy. PT A$2.75.
Deutsche analyst says, "AWAC sells approx. 60% of its alumina production to 3rd party smelters however “intersegment sales” reflect the average price of the entire “book”. Volumes will roll-off at the rate of 20% per annum and the entire book should be priced at Index by 2015. This in itself will drive roughly 6-7% earnings growth p.a. over the next 5yrs. The Platts’ FOB Australia Index price is currently US$404/t (15.2% linkage at spot Al), close to our forecast US$407/t for 2011."
