Family Dollar Stores Inc (NYSE: FDO) reported Q2 EPS of $0.98, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.97. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.26 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.27 billion.
Same-store sales were up 5.1%.
Sees Q3 EPS of 92-97c, vs. the consensus of 94c. Sees comps up 5-7%.
Narrows its FY11 ESP guidance from $3.08-$3.23 to $3.13-$3.23, vs. the consensus of $3.12.
