Valeant (VRX) Makes $5.7B Bid for Cephalon (CEPH)
Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. (NYSE: VRX) has made a $73 per share bid for Cephalon, Inc. (Nasdaq: CEPH).
Total value on the deal is $5.7 billion.
Valeant announced its intention to commence a consent solicitation process during the week of April 4th in an effort to replace Cephalon's current Board of Directors with its own nominees. Valeant anticipates that the transaction will be entirely debt financed.
