This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

- TranS1, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSON) high of $5.20. Moving about 60% to the new high today, as TranS1 reported that they received U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for its AxiaLIF 1L+ product line. AxiaLIF 1L+ is an instrumentation and implant system for L5-S1 lumbar fusion. TranS1 will do a limited release, with full commercial release expected in H211.
- Majesco Entertainment Co. (Nasdaq: COOL) high of $2.87. Looks like a momentum move today, as a 139K block trade earlier in the day sent shares through the $2.45 price level. The stock got enough od a boost off of that to continue to a new 52-week high.
- Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. (NYSE: HMY) high of $14.68. Reported a 21,665 sale to Randfontein Gold Mine Estates Limited for total gross proceeds of R1,832,209.05 (about $267,308.3). The transaction was reported in a 6-K filing with the U.S. SEC>
- Smithfield Foods Inc. (NYSE: SFD) high of $24.05. Seeing a little bit of a boost today, as BB&T upgraded Smithfield from Hold to Buy.
- Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE: BBY) low of $29.85. Best Buy swung into negative territory today following its fourth-quarter earnings report and subsequent conference call. Best Buy reported Q4 EPS of $1.98 on revs of $16.3 billion, compared with consensus EPS of $1.85 on revs of $16.29 billion. Looking ahead, Best Buy sees FY12 EPS of $3.30 - $3.55 on revs of $51 - $52.5 billion, mixed to consensus EPS of $3.56 and revs of $52.17 billion. Click here for conference call highlights.
- MediciNova Inc. (Nasdaq: MNOV) low of $2.65. MediciNova priced a 2.75 million unit offering at $3.00 per unit. Each unit consists of one share of common stock and a warrant to purchase one share of common stock. MediciNova only has about 12.44 million common shares outstanding.
- China Information Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNIT) low of $2.53. China Info Tech has been on a downward trend since issuing their fourth-quarter earnings in early March. Shares finally got below the $2.90 support level seen a few days ago, and volume was good enough to cause a little bit of further selling. The stock is currently 46% lower than where it was on March 8th, when it reported earnings.
