Casey's (CASY) Announces Increase in December Comps; Food Up 10.1%

Casey's General Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: CASY) announced that December 2010 same-store sales for prepared food and fountain increased 10.1%, and grocery and other merchandise increased 7% in December 2010 compared to December 2009.

Same-store gasoline gallons sold increased 2.8% in December 2010 compared to December 2009. The gasoline margin was above the Company's fiscal 2011 goal of 13.5 cents per gallon. The average retail price of gasoline sold during December 2010 was $2.86 per gallon.
