  • Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE: GDX) up 1.51% to $51.06. Investors moving into gold on market volatility fears. SPDR Gold Shares (NYSE: GLD) is also up 0.55% to $121.02.

  • Health Care Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: XLV) up 0.46% to $28.31. Up today, boosted by Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE: MDT), which is seeing some upside today following a steep drop on their first quarter earnings report yesterday.


Receders

  • United States Natural Gas (NYSE: UNG) down 3.52% to $6.57. Lower today as warmer weather nat gas demand is waning at the end of August, and Hurricane Danielle is not expected to affect gas production in the Gulf.

  • Energy Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: XLE) down 1.17% to $50.80. Durable goods orders, which came in lower than expected, are adding pressure to energy stocks today.

  • Market Vectors Coal ETF (NYSE: KOL) down 2.76% to $31.31. Lower on reduced global demand outlook, especially in China, the world's foremost coal consumer.
