J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP) reports total sales for the month of September were $1.438 billion, down 0.6% from the same period last year. Same store sales fell 1.4%.
Sees same store sales down 5-8% next month (October).
Raises its Q3 EPS guidance from a loss of $0.05 to a gain of $0.05 to a gain of $0.03-$0.10. The Street is currently looking for Q3 EPS of $0.05.
