Republic Airways (RJET) Reports Increase in August Traffic Results

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET) reported preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2009. The Company generated 1,068.2 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 14.7% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 13.3%. Block hours were 66,741 in August 2009, a 9.7% increase from August 2008. Load factor was 78.5% versus 77.5% in August 2008. A total of 1,969,231 passengers were carried during the month, a 10.0% increase from the same month last year.
