TJX (TJX) Reports In-Line Q2 Results; Guides Q3, Q4, FY10 EPS and Same Store Sales

The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TJX) reports Q2 EPS of $0.61, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.60. Revenue for the quarter was $4.75 billion, versus the consensus of $4.75 billion.

Same store sales rose 4% during the quarter.

Sees Q3 EPS from continuing operations of $0.62-$0.68, versus the consensus of $0.63. Comps are expected to be up 2-4%.

Sees Q4 EPS of $0.55-$0.61 with same store sales up 2-4%.

Sees FY10 EPS from continuing operations of $2.26-$2.38, which compares to the Street estimate of $2.36. Same store sales are expected to be up 2-3%.
