Walgreens (WAG) Reports Q3 EPS of $0.53; Comps Rose 2.8%

Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) (NASDAQ: WAG) reports Q3 EPS of $0.53, (including an impact of 6 cents in costs and 6 cents in savings associated with the company's Rewiring for Growth and Customer Centric Retailing initiatives) versus the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenue for the quarter was $16.21 billion, versus the consensus of $16.16 billion.

Same store sales rose 2.8% during the quarter.
