GameStop (GME) Reports Q4 EPS Growth of 21.9%; Comps Rose 9.6%; Affirms FY09 Outlook; Issues Q1 Guidance

GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME) reports Q4 EPS of $1.39, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.34 and up 21.9% from the $1.14 reported in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $3.5 billion, versus the consensus of $3.46 billion.

Same store sales rose 9.6% during the quarter.

Sees Q1 comps flat to up 2%, with EPS in the range of $0.40-$0.42, versus the consensus of $0.39.

Affirms its FY09 outlook for sales growth of 10-12%, comps up 4-6%, and EPS growth of 18-22%. Sees generating free cash flow of over $500 million.
