Jack in the Box (Nasdaq: JACK) reports Q1 EPS of $0.49, 3 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.52. Revenue for the quarter was $776.67 million, versus the consensus of $748.98 million.
Same store sales rose 1.7% during the quarter.
Sees Q2 sales at Jack in the Box company restaurants flat to 2%.
Flat to 2% increase in same-store sales at Jack in the Box company restaurants during FY09. FY09 EPS are expected to be in the range of $2.00-$2.20, versus the consensus of $2.09.
Expects to open approximately 50 new Jack in the Box restaurants, including approximately 15 franchised locations and 60-80 new Qdoba restaurants, including 30-50 franchised locations.
