Republic Airways (RJET) Reports Decline in January Traffic

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET) reported preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2009. The company generated 691.9 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 2.6% decrease from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 1.7% to 1.1 billion. Block hours were 60,195 in January 2009, a 4.8% decrease from January 2008. Load factor was 62.8% versus 65.6% in January 2008. A total of 1,344,746 passengers were carried during the month, a 2.4% decrease from the same month last year.
