Barnes & Noble (BKS) Holiday Same Store Sales Down 7.7%; Affirms FY Outlook

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS) today reported sales for the nine-week holiday period from November 2, 2008 to January 3, 2009.

Sales came in at $1.1 billion, a 5.2% decrease over the same period last year. Same store sales fell 7.7% for the period.

Sees FY08 EPS of $1.30-$1.60.

Barnes & Noble, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, operates as a bookseller in the United States and the District of Columbia.
