Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) today announced sales for the month of September came in down 0.8% from the same period last year to $1.971 billion. Same store sales for the month increase 1.7% over the prior-year period. Front-end same store sales were up 3.4% and Pharmacy same store sales increased 1.0%.
