SkyWest (SKYW) Reports Decline in August Traffic

SkyWest, Inc. (Nasdaq: SKYW) reported a 7.2% decrease in available seat miles (ASMs) for August, while revenue passenger miles (RPMs) decreased by 8.6% compared to the same period last year. The combined airlines generated 1.9 billion ASMs and 1.5 billion RPMs for the month. Load factor was down 1.2% point to 79.4% compared to 80.6% for the same period last year. Passenger boardings for August totaled 3,038,873 a 4.8% decrease over August 2007.
